Whisper To Me

Whisper is now home with the Conrad's in Nashville! She hopes to cut a record deal soon and auditions nightly around 2am! LOL!
Seriously, Whisper has her work cut out for her keeping David, Karen and Truman (her unrelated mini Aussie "brother") laughing non-stop!

"Dot"

Dot is now home with Ken and Nora in Northern California where her outgoing, happy personality perfectly suits her future as a student counselor and agility contender!

We made it home very well with the puppy sleeping most of the way – I don’t have to tell you what the first night was like with a wide awake baby. Thank god for doors between the bedroom and kitchen! Yesterday though, she settled into the rhythm of the household --  and Dixie is being very tolerant with her – she hasn’t really growled at her yet. Dot’s scheduled for the vet visit tomorrow and then out into the world. She acts like she owns our house – nothing scares her and she finds everything to be very interesting. She bounds down the hall and in one bounce is on the sofa and into our laps for a kissing/biting fest! We’re enchanted to say the least.  Last night she played fetch with Dixie up and down the hall for a long time and she slept straight through until 5:30, went out for a potty break, back into the crate for another hour of quiet and then howled in earnest when the alarm clock went off.  She is trying to participate in bringing in the newspapers – she tugged at the NY Times’ blue bag when Ken gave her the end, and then relinquished it to Dixie to bring in. She’ll catch on to that job quickly I’m sure.

Thanks so much for all your help in finding us the just right pup – we love her already! ( If you’ve ever seen the movie Raising Arizona, Ken says he feels like Holly Hunter when Nicolas Cage gives her the baby they’re kidnapped –really, it’s hilarious). Anyway, your pup has landed in Palo Alto and seems to be ready to claim the whole town as hers. Bye for now,

Nora

Carried on the Wind

Cara is now home in South Carolina.  She was the perfect match with her silly antics and perpetual playfulness. Cara is looking forward to a career in the agility ring!

Sleep? What's that? I vaguely remember that concept... ;-) Just wanted to check in and let you know all is well in SC. Efforts continue to housebreak and acclimate Cara to her new environment. She shredded her really cute polka dot collar (the stinker) so now she's wearing a plain old nylon collar. She's too cute. She's adopted a stuffed caterpillar that's almost as big as she is... she grabs it and trots between the den and kitchen in parade fashion. I'll get a picture if I'm quick enough. She's also in the chew mode - must chew everything!
The great debate over the name continues. My husband wants to keep Cara. He thinks it fits her feminine sweet personality- boy does she have him wrapped around her paw. I think she's a little pistol - one minute she's angelic and the next she's rotten! We love her!

Sumatra's Secret

Secret is staying here with us!!
She is the sweetest little devil you'll ever want to meet. Very smart, but generally uses all that brain power for good rather than evil! LOL!  Watch for Secret in the Conformation and agility rings!

Cintra of Attention
(formerly Chatty Cathy)

Cat is home in Colorado with Cindy and Holly!
Cat is an awesome little girl who will eventually be the foundation of Cintra Mini Aussies. Cindy, Holly and Cat will be found in the Conformation and agility rings!

Kiss'n Tell

Kiss has made her way to her forever home with the Memory's in Utah! Kiss has a very busy family to keep in line as she pursues a career in agility and an occasional Conformation show!

September, 2004:

Hi Janet,

Me again!  I wanted to write and tell you that I really believe that we got the very BEST puppy of the whole bunch!!  Kiss is so WONDERFUL!!  As I told you earlier...she has "sit" down pat and she is coming along very nicely with the "come" command.  She comes to us even if we call her off of barking at the bird!  She knows that we are going to ask her to sit next, so she plops her little butt down and looks at us with those beautiful, soft brown eyes as if to say "treat now?"  She is so smart!!  Now, I must confess that the cats would have to differ with this whole email LOL!!  She does love to "herd" the cats!  If they run, it fuels her.  If they stay put and hold their ground, she leaves them alone.  My Himi cat has figured out that Kiss doesn't do the stairs yet...so he b-lines for the stairs when she's after him.  It is quite entertaining to say the least...LOL!

Today I took her in the car to pick my son up from school.  She was a little nervous going, but slept all the way home.  She really does adjust to any situation.  The kids are so in love and so is my husband (although he puts on a tough guy front).  It's fun to watch him dote over her!  I hope our family pics with her turn out.  We will get the proofs back any time now.  I'm excited to see if they worked out.  She was a wiggle worm during most of the session :)    --Shauna
